It's been close to 5 years since I last visited PBG. My primary school hosted a cross-country race there every year, and I remember the garden was always full of food-snatching macaques and aunties practising Tai-Chi.
Although the garden is a little unkempt, I love how the vegetation is able to stretch and grow into the surroundings instead of being pruned into submission.
There are a few paths inside the garden. We took the less steep route which brought us to the lily pond.
The diversity of all the different trees, plants, and mosses struck me for the first time. Up close there are so many interesting textures and colours to observe.
The entrance used to quite crowded with double-parked but now space has been cleared for fountains and lily ponds. The various open collections such as the Fern House and the Orchidarium were closed when I visited so this won't be my last trip to PBG.
